Affordable and Reliable WordPress Hosting

Affordable and Reliable WordPress Hosting with Bluehost

Selecting a host for your website is always an important task as you want to make sure you are selecting a company that is reliable and also quick to offer any type of technical support.

After dealing with plenty of different hosts (and a few hosting nightmare situations) I’ve come to love some more than others. One company that I truly love is Bluehost because of how reliable they are and how their packages won’t break the bank! Bluehost is also officially recommended by WordPress itself.

Not sure if your WordPress website needs hosting? Check out our post “WordPress.com vs WordPress.org: Which one should you use?” to learn more about self-hosted WordPress.

Here are my top 4 reasons why I love to use Blue Host for WordPress hosting:

1. Reliable Service

When picking a host you want to make sure you go with a company that has reliable service and doesn’t experience constant downtime. A few companies I’ve used in the past would have weekly outages which is an issue for any website or blog. The less downtime (or slow service) you have — the best user-experience you will create for your visitors.

2. Affordable Packages

Whether you are blogging as a hobby or have a website to promote your business, the cost of hosting is always a concern. With Bluehost, they offer various pricings tiers that I feel are all very reasonable. When signing up for your first year, you will automatically receive a discount (yay!). The following years will be at their regular price, which starts at $7.99 per month depending on the package you select.

3. Includes a FREE SSL Certificate

This is one of my favorite things about Bluehost. They started offering this a while back and love how easy it is to set up. When you purchase a hosting package, all your domains within that package will have the option to connect it to a SSL Certificate which adds an extra layer of security to your website.

4. Amazing Tech Support:

Whether I’ve needed tech support via phone or their online chat, Bluehost has always come through for me. They are available 24/7 and their support staff has always been knowledgeable and they have resolved any issue that I have encountered.

Getting Started with Bluehost WordPress Hosting

Bluehost offers various packages depending on your website’s needs. For most of my clients, the “Basic” or “Plus” packages are the top choices.

You can always upgrade along the way if you see that you will need additional features, such as running more than one website on your account.

Watch the video tutorial or read the step-by-step guide below and see how easy it is to get started with Bluehost.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to sign up with Bluehost:

1. Go to BlueHost.com.

2. On the “WordPress” tab in the top menu bar, select “WordPress Hosting”.

3. Scroll down to see the various packages that they have to offer. Click “Select” on that package that you would like to sign up to.

4. Enter your domain in the “I have a domain name” box. If you don’t have the domain, you can purchase it directly with Blue Host as well. Just enter the domain you would like in the “New Domain” box. Click “Next”.

5. In the new section you will enter your new account and billing information. You will also confirm that package that you are signing up for. Usually I suggest going with 12 months so you can try it out, and then in the future you can always increase it.

6. In this section it will automatically add a few options. Here you can read about the different features they offer. If you are unsure if you want any of these add-ons you can always sign up to it later. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about these.

7. Agree to the terms and conditions then click “Submit”. :)
